Greg was born in Sydney, Australia.

He opened his first photographic studio in 1968, with clients including Vogue, Pol, Australian Opera, Australian Ballet and Elizabethan Theatre trust. Since that time his work has encompassed professional commissions in advertising and architecture, fine art photography for AGNSW, Brett Whiteley, Arthur Boyd and many others.

Other commissions have included MCA "Art and Australia", the State Library of NSW, Transfield, private Galleries and collections in Sydney and magazine work. A photojournalism project titled Australian Artists was a significant work, along with photography done while touring Papunya and Yendamu with Vivien Johnson and Michael Nelson Tjakamarra in the Northern Territory. Recent solo exhibitions include "From a Distance" - MICHAEL NAGY FINE ART, "In The Picture" - National Portrait Gallery Canberra and "The Artist Portraits" for the Manly Regional Gallery.
